Question 8

Let $\omega$ be a circle, and let $A$ and $B$ be points on a line not intersecting $\omega$. Given a point $X_0$ on $\omega$, define a sequences $X_0, X_1, X_2, \ldots$ and $Y_0, Y_1, Y_2, \ldots$ as follows: $Y_n$ is the second intersection of the line $AX_n$ with $\omega$ and $X_{n+1}$ is the second intersection of the line $BY_n$ with $\omega$. Prove that if for some integer $k$, it happens that $X_k = X_0$ for some choice of $X_0$ then $X_k = X_0$ for any choice of $X_0$.

Question 9

Question 10

$B_1$ and $C_1$ are marked on the bisector of angle $A$ in triangle $ABC$ so that $BB_1 \perp AB$, $CC_1 \perp AC$. Let $M$ be the midpoint of $B_1C_1$. Prove that $MB = MC$.

Question 11

In the triangle $ABC$ the bisector of the angle $\angle BAC$ meets the segment $BC$ at $D$. The triangle $ADC$ is isosceles with the apex at $D$ and the lengths of the segments $CD$ and $BD$ are $|CD| = 36$ and $|BD| = 64$. Find the lengths of the sides of the triangle $ABC$.

Question 12

Let $a$, $b$, $c$, $d \gt 0$. Find all possible values of the sum
$$
S = \frac{a}{d+a+b} + \frac{b}{a+b+c} + \frac{c}{b+c+d} + \frac{d}{c+d+a}.
$$

Question 13

The equilateral triangles $ABC$ and $DEF$ with the sides of length $1$ are divided into congruent equilateral triangles as shown in the figure. A circle is inscribed into each smaller triangle. What is the ratio of the shaded area of the triangle $ABC$ to the shaded area of the triangle $DEF$?
