From $n^3$ unit cubes Ivica assembled a large cube with edge length $n$ and then he coloured some of the six sides of the large cube. When he disassembled the large cube, he found that exactly $1000$ unit cubes don't have any coloured side. Show that this is indeed possible and determine the number of sides of the large cube that Ivica coloured.
