SMO 2009 Open Round 1 Question 9

Let $ABC$ be a triangle with $AB=7$, $BC=8$, $AC=9$. A unique circle touches the side $AC$ and the lines $BA$ produced and $BC$ produced. Let $D$ be its centre. Find $BD^2$.
