Let $ABC$ be a triangle with $\measuredangle B = \measuredangle C = 40^{\circ}$. The bisector of the $\measuredangle B$ meets $AC$ at the point $D$. Prove that $\overline{BD} + \overline{DA} = \overline{BC}$.
