Let $ABCD$ be a square of side length $28~\mathrm{cm}$. Let $P$ lie inside the square and let $E$ lie on side $CD$ such that $PE$ is perpendicular to $CD$. Also, $AP=BP=PE$. Find the length of $AP$.
