Five otherwise identical hats carry letters: two K hats and three M hats. Alex, Maria and Julia each receive a random hat. They see the others’ letters but not their own. All are excellent reasoners. Alex says he cannot determine his letter; Maria then says the same; Julia then says she can determine hers. Which statement is correct?
