- Type 1:
Two pieces of glass are needed. If both pieces are transparent, the output is one transparent piece. Otherwise the output is one coloured piece.
- Type 2:
Two pieces of glass are needed. If both pieces are coloured, the output is one coloured piece. Otherwise the output is one transparent piece.
- Type 3:
Only one piece is needed. A transparent input produces a coloured output; a coloured input produces a transparent output.
