Question 1
Three thermometers each have a scale of ten numbers (top to bottom). Scale 1: 1, 3, 4, 2, 4, 5, 3, 1, 5, 2. Scale 2: 4, 1, 3, 5, 1, 2, 4, 3, 2, 5. Scale 3: 5, 2, 4, 2, 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 3. At present the mercury levels are at the 5th mark (value 4) in thermometer 1, the 6th mark (value 2) in thermometer 2 and the 5th mark (value 3) in thermometer 3. For each mark that one thermometer rises, another must fall one mark, and vice versa. If the three thermometers are balanced so that they all read the same number, what is that number? Answer with a natural number.
