Question 10
Old Saigon, now Ho Chi Minh City, has changed a great deal. Yet the street named after Alexandre de Rhodes, the creator of the Vietnamese national script, remains unchanged. Walking there on an early summer morning, looking at the cool green rows of trees glowing in the shimmering sunlight, have you ever wondered: “Are those trees arranged in a pattern? Are the distances between consecutive trees equal? Do the rows contain equal numbers of trees? And can I calculate the number of trees along the whole street?”
